Our new registration system:  
IF something isn't working for you, please read this summary:

• Registration is a little different this season.  There are no paper forms to download.  You will be able to register online, then mail your payment. You can easily add another registration  (if a sibling decides later they want to play too).  But  it's a new database so you'll have to enter all of your basic account information. You will only have to experience that pain once, however. It's far easier to register a returning player.

• These pdf documents show screen shots of the steps you need to create a new account and to register a player. 

• Here's a list of the steps for creating a new account and registrants:

  • Set up your account with the basic information for the parent(s) (guardians).  You should receive an account confirmation email.

  •  Choose the program (fall, spring, indoor), then the division(s) you wish to register your kid(s) for and place them in your shopping cart

  •  Fill your "shopping cart";

    • Everything--volunteering, registration, and jersey purchases (regardless of whether or not there is a charge) is considered an "item".  Your shopping cart should have an entry for each "item" that you want. 

    • You will not see the part of the registration where you enter the data for your child (age, gender, etc.), nor will you see the multiplayer discount at this point in the process.  Once your cart is complete, proceed with registration.

  • Select a person  to be registered for each program.--then enter the division-specific information, for your player (click for an example).  For a first-time registration this is where you enter birth date, gender, etc., information for your child. When you register for a future season with AYSL, all of that information is stored, and you pick the appropriate child from the dropdown list of family members.

    • The system will only allow you to register your child for his/her correct division, but that can be changed after you register (see below).  You will get an error message (like this one) if you choose the wrong division for your child.  In that case, choose another division.  This is probably the most common problem people are having.   See the age grid below.

  • Check out.  Your total should reflect any multiplayer discounts, as well as charges for any U6-U14 jerseys you purchased.  You can pay with a credit card, or choose the "pay in person" to mail in a check or to request financial aid (you must submit a request for financial aid to the registrar--like the checkbox on the old forms).  You should receive a registration confirmation email shortly after completing your registration, regardless of your choice of payment.

• Your registration is not complete until you get through the payment page! 

• If the web page times out or hangs up, your cart remains intact--even if you log off entirely.  You can either use the "back" button on your browser, or stop and reload.  Check the contents of your cart before proceeding.

• Please DO NOT mail in registration forms (there aren't any), even if you wish to pay by check.  Register your child online, then mail your payment. Be aware that your registration is not complete until your payment is received by AYSL. 

• If you would like your child to "play up" into an older division, this system will not allow you to register your child for the "wrong" division.  Contact the registrar for your division change request to be processed, and your child will be moved into the division you requested.

•  Please, if you have any difficulties at all in registering, email the registrar.

General Registration Information
In the spirit of fairness, we do not make team assignments on a first come, first assigned basis.  Special team/team mate requests are considered, but cannot always be honored.  Teams will have minimum and maximum size depending on age division.  The total number of teams per age division depends upon the number of coaches who are willing to volunteer their time.  As team limits are met, a waiting list will be established until additional coaches become available.  Children may be assigned to an older division based on size, skill level and maturity.
